The late Joan Rivers was very funny.
Agree on Nina Conti....about her being funny not fancying her.
Although not a stand-up comedian but my fave funny woman is Kathy Burke.

There is a yank bird on Radio 4 sometimes who is occasionally very funny, but her name is Dave or something that sounds like Dave.
